Testing Information
To be eligible to test you must first get a Job Application on file.
Applicants that file a Job Application will be contacted by the Hampton Police Department and notified to register for a scheduled exam.
Walk-ins are turned away at the door. You must file a Job Application to register for the exam.
Applicants completing the written exam with a passing score will be invited to the
Agility Test. The Agility Test will be conducted 30 minutes after the completion of the written exam. To take part in
the Agility Test you must have Medical Clearance.
Medical Clearance Forms must be completed prior to being allowed to take part in the Agility Test.
Applicants passing both tests should be prepared to select an oral board appointment between 0800-1600, Monday-Friday of the following week.

- DATES -
Written Exams & Agility Testing are going to be conducted during the last weekend Sept 2010.
- TIME -
Check-in will start 30 minutes prior to testing. The test will begin PROMPTLY!
- COST -
$25.00 - Check payable to Town of Hampton. Cash must be exact amount.

- PARKING -
Park for testing in the large Town of Hampton parking lot in front of the Police Department.
- IMPORTANT -
You must bring a government issued Photo ID & signed
Medical Clearance Form with you on the day of testing.
- DRESS -
Casual attire for the written exam. Appropriate Gym or Workout clothing for the Agility Test.
The run will be conducted outdoors unless inclement weather is present.
