Granite State Police Career Counseling, Chief Richard Sawyer and the Hampton Police Department are pleased to announce a 3 day Major Crime Investigation Training Seminar being held in Hampton, New Hampshire on February 21-23, 2017.

This course is designed to sharpen the investigation skills of Law Enforcement Officers who investigate serious crimes.  The class is taught by Det Sergeant John Sonia of the NH State Police Major Crimes Investigation Unit.  John brings a tremendous amount of investigative experience to this class. 

Topics Include:

  • Day 1- Initial Response, Cell Phones, Social Media, Background and Intel, Video Surveillance
  • Day 2- Crime Scene Investigation, Photos and Video, Diagrams, Evidence Collection, CSI - Bodies-MV-Other, Reports
  • Day 3- Advanced CSI, Injury - Wounds and Blood, DNA sources and collection, Case Studies
