IACP SWAT Supervision and Management
Five-Day Tactical and Patrol Response Management

This course is for SWAT Commanders, Supervisors and Command personnel who are responsible for resolving high-risk events using special operations personnel, warrant service, barricaded subjects, hostage situations, and sniper incidents. The course emphasis is on selecting personnel, training, legal issues, command post operations, and tactical decision making.
Participants will benefit from the range of topics covered and real-world incident debriefs. PREREQUISITE - Open only to Sworn Police Officers of a publicly funded Police Department
Course Objectives:
- Identify criteria for selecting qualified SWAT personnel.
- Develop sound tactical operations plans for:
- High-risk warrant service
- Hostage situations
- Sniper incidents
- Make sound tactical decisions based on the priority of life to resolve violent incidents.
- Develop low-cost, high-quality training for the department
- Identify legal issues involved in the problem-solving process of high-risk, life-threatening events.
